Day at the Beach

My friend Christine and I took the kids down to Searsport to spend a day at the beach. It was very overcast in the morning, but it blew over about lunch time and was a really pretty day. I have the sunburn to prove it!
Allie was quite content to do her own thing, as usual. She spent most of the day climbing the rocks and looking for flowers while the other kids played in the water. Hannah, Christian, and McKayla having fun!
Allie in the background, looking for rocks?
A forced photo session with mom. Hannah has got her pose perfected, head cocked to the side and usually one eye closed Popeye style.

I think the girls were playing telephone...
The reaction from McKayla...

Then she passes it on to Allie.

All the kids quickly warmed up to the beach. They especially thought it was funny when Christine and I had to keep moving all of our stuff as the tide came in. Everyone had a blast and my girls both fell asleep on the couch while I was cooking dinner. The perfect ending to any day!

So sleepy...

Disney Cruise

We just returned home from an awesome vacation. On the cruise were:
My parents
Daniel, Jenny, Josiah and Ezra-My brother and fam
Aunt Evelyn and Steve
Jennifer, Joe and Kylie-cousin and fam
Angie and Tom

It was a mini family reunion Mickey and Minnie style.

The girls favorite parts of the cruise were the shows/musicals and the characters. Hannah was obsessed with filling her autograph book with all of the characters signatures.

Here are Hannah, Kylie and Allie at the final show. There faces are covered in sugar from a "gigantic lollipop."
They really enjoyed the shows and so did I!
We got there really early the last night and were in the front row. They could hardly sit still.

Our next favorite part was the fact that you only had to wait in line for about 5 minutes to meet each character. They had a Princess gathering one morning which was a huge hit with the girls.

Belle and Cinderella (for those of you who do not have princess obsessed children.

Snow White and Sleeping Beauty/Princess Aurora aka Briar Rose...depending on what mood the girls are in. (I'm sure McKayla will understand, it has something to do with which outfit she is wearing.

Okay, so I am beginning to realize that I did not take near as many pictures as I thought. I think I was too busy trying to get the kids to nap and into bed before 11 PM. Some may think this is crazy, but anyone who has had to deal with 2 overtired children will understand my frenzy at naptime.

Disney has it's own island called Castaway Cay. Yes the zillion dollar enterprise purchased an island. Not only purchased but has it turned into this mini paradise, plus alcoholic beverages for the parents of overstimulated children. Wait, that was all of them :)

One of our days
at Castaway Cay,
it rained on day two:(

Mama and Ezra.

Daniel and Josiah.

Daniel and Jenny traveled with a 3 year old and 7 month old.
The boys were really good and quite the troopers. As were
their parents!

Hi everyone! Sorry it has been so long since my last post. Things are going really well at Trav's new job with Cianbro. We just found out on Friday that he will be posted in Brewer(the next town over) for the next year. This is great news, we were afraid he may have to commute.

The babysitter Maria is working out great. The girls really have fun with her, and Maria is going to dog sit while we are gone.

We have been very busy getting ready for our Disney cruise. We fly out Thursday night and return on June 21. We are all very excited.

Hope everyone is enjoying the summer so far. Only a few more days of school for Hannah. Her last day will be Thursday and then we will head to the airport.

I will have pics when we get back.
